Tutors
On request the Northamptonshire Dyslexia Association will provide a list of local specialist teachers who are members of the Association and can facilitate individual development by providing tutor support.
The tutor list includes the following information:
- Name, location within Northamptonshire and contact details
- Specialist teaching qualifications associated with supporting Dyslexics
- Student age range
Some tutors offer an Assessment, or Specialist Teacher’s Report, similar to an Educational Psychologist’s Report, which may be used for access arrangements.
Some tutors are able to provide reports that can assist with the planning of an individual learning programme. Any specific issues or concerns should be discussed and clarified with tutors. This will enable a choice of options to be considered.
Tuition fees normally range from £20 per hour upwards, however some tutors may be prepared to offer tuition at more favourable rates in special circumstances.
